Recap of the ECAR Volleyball Tournament

Do you rent a home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida? If so, you’ve probably heard about our Gulf Coast property managers sponsoring the Emerald Coast Volleyball Tournament to benefit Building Homes for Heroes which was held on Sunday, June 14, 2015. Well, the results are in and we have some good news on all fronts!

The Southern team, comprised of vacation rental employees came in second place overall while the tournament itself raised over $5,000 for the local non-profit organization.

This year’s tournament funds were donated in honor of United States Air Force Captain, Nathan Nelson. Nelson was injured in Afghanistan and the money raised will be doubled by an anonymous contributor to help build Nelson and his family a specially adapted, and mortgage-free home.

“We were thrilled to have been a part of ECAR’s Building Homes for Heroes fundraiser,” said our Residential Leasing General Manager, Joe Casal. “We’re grateful for both the experience and to the entire community who contributed to the cause.”
