It is very exciting to rent a home in South Walton, especially if you will be living on 30A or nearby. The variety of things to do, places to eat and activities to enjoy are endless. So, let us recommend a few of our favorite to check out to help you get started!

When you live at the beach, the top activity to try is, of course, water sports. But, which kind? We highly recommend trying stand up paddleboarding, pictured here. For those who wish they could surf, but love to kayak, this sport combines the best of both. It’s also a great way to explore the area’s coastal dune lakes, something that is very rare and only found in a handful of places.

We also recommend doing a little shopping. Or, really, a lot of shopping. The beach communities of 30A are funky and feature many local and upcoming artist, as well as unique boutiques. Seaside, Gulf Place and Rosemary Beach are all wonderful communities where you can park and wander through shops and farmers’ markets. Or, grab a bike and explore several locations viz the 30A bike path.

Dining is also an experience sure to be enjoyed while renting a home near 30A. Whether you prefer coastal cuisine straight from the Gulf, southern fare cooked in traditional style or something totally new, you will find it in the range of restaurants in South Walton. We recommend Marline Grill in the Village of Baytowne Wharf for a nice night out, Bud and Alley’s in Seaside for drinks and relaxed evening or the Red Bar in Grayton Beach for great music along with great food.
