Run the Bayou, Bay and Back in Destin
If you love to run, it’s time to lace up your sneakers and get ready for one of the best races, and courses, of the year. It’s almost time for the Bayou, Bay and Back, and if you live in a long term home rental in Destin, you don’t want to miss it.
The Bayou, Bay and Back in Destin offers three course choices so those of any fitness level are welcome to register for the run. Choose from a 5K, 10K or half-marathon, with each course offering scenic views of Destin, including the harbor and Choctawhatchee Bay. Those running longer distances will also be treated to views of undeveloped Okaloosa Island before completing their run back in Destin.
Register before Janaury 23 and the 5K and 10K races are just $30, while the half-marathon is just $60. A portion of the proceeds for this event will benefit the Choctawhatchee Basin Alliance which is committed to maintaining the watershed. Be sure to stop by Fudpucker’s on Okaloosa Island for the post-race party for awards, as well as deals on food and drinks throughout the day.
