Smoke on the Coast BBQ Festival!

Play tourist in your own town this weekend when you enjoy the many Fourth of July events taking place near your home rental in Destin. In addition to long days on the beach and fireworks, we also recommend checking out Smoke on the Coast!

Smoke on the Coast is a wonderful, family-friendly event and one of our favorite July events. Head out at 2pm on July 3 to stroll the streets of the newly expanded shopping center while you watch twenty area chefs prepare their finest BBQ sampling. Additional activities during the day include kids’ activities, as well as facepainting, street performers and live music.

After you’ve worked up an appetite walking around the festival, head back to the food booths at 5pm. Be sure you have your $1 sampling tickets! All proceeds benefit Children in Crisis, Food for Thought and Building Homes for Heroes. The evening will end with a spectacular fireworks display.

If you’re looking for a fun afternoon on the actual Fourth of July, just head to HarborWalk Village. There you will find delicious restaurants, plenty of activities and live entertainment before the official fireworks kick off at 9pm over the Destin Harbor!
