Attend the 2016 South Walton Wine & Food Festival!

When you rent a home in South Walton, there are many advantages. The beaches are gorgeous, the coastal dune lakes and trails provide ample opportunity for exploring the outdoors, and the dining is one of a kind. And, the seasonal events can’t be beat.

If you have lived in a South Walton or 30A long term rental long, you have undoubtedly noticed that spring means wine, food and art events. Sandestin just wrapped up their annual wine festival, and next week marks the beginning of the annual South Walton Wine & Food Festival.

The latter event will kick off on April 28, 2016 with a private event before opening up to the public for three delicious days of wine, culinary demonstrations and seminars. The party starts early on Friday with the Winemakers & Shakers event at 4PM. Here, attendees can meet and mingle with some of the top winemakers in the world as they sip and savor their wines. Afterward, head over to the Craft Beer and Spirits Jam for something a little more potent, as well as samplings from local restaurants and music from The Owsley Brothers, a favorite local band.

The grand tasting events will take place on both Saturday and Sunday from 1-5PM each day in the heart of Grand Boulevard, the host of the festival. Over 800 wines are available during this time, as well as specialty offerings along Champagne Lane and Spirits Row. Live entertainment and culinary demonstrations and tastings will also be available, as well as seminars from the vintners. The charity wine auction will also take place from 1-3PM on Saturday.
