With Labor Day weekend coming up quickly, there is no better time to fire up the grill, pick up your favorite cut of steak, and invite your friends over. There are dos and don’ts when it comes to grilling out with friends. To help you prepare ahead of time we have listed some backyard BBQ tips and tricks to make your get together a success!
Seating and Shade
Beat the summer heat by providing your guests with ample seating in the shade. This is one tip your guests will thank you for thinking of. Whether you decide to sit inside or outside, make sure no one overheats. You could also ask people to bring their own lawn chairs so that way they can choose where to sit while the food is being prepared.
Prep the Food Beforehand
Instead of spending all your time preparing the food, spend more time chatting with friends by preparing the food before guests arrive. This could be marinating meats, cutting up veggies, etc. That way, when they get there, you can throw everything on the grill and wait just a few minutes for it to cook completely.
Side Dishes
Ask your guests to bring the side dishes. This not only takes some of the cooking off of you but it also allows your guests to bring something they like and can feel proud of. Who knows, you might end the BBQ with a new favorite recipe from a friend! You could also assign the dessert to someone. One incredible recipe for dessert is cutting up your favorite fruit, throwing it on the grill, and topping it with vanilla ice cream. The perfect end to your summer backyard BBQ!
