Lemon Lime and Basil Cocktail Recipe

If you currently call the beach home then you know there are plenty of restaurants along the Gulf Coast that offer a happy hour with delicious cocktails. However, sometimes the best happy hour is on your own back patio! All you need to do is add a couple of extra grocery items to your normal list to try out this lemon-lime and basil cocktail recipe. It is one of our favorites because it is light, refreshing, and you can control how strong you want to make it. You don’t need any fancy equipment, and all of the ingredients are easy to find.

What You’ll Need

  • Basil Sprigs
  • 2/3 Cup Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/3 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/3 Cup Club Soda
  • 1 Cup Gin or Vodka

Preparation

  1. In a glass or cocktail shaker, muddle the basil leaves.
  2. Add ice on top of the basil.
  3. Pour the lime juice, lemon juice, gin or vodka, and club soda over the ice.
  4. Garnish with basil leave and lime slice.
