Mardi Gras Events on the Gulf Coast!

If you have recently rented a home on the Gulf Coast, you may be interested in experiencing this Mardi Gras thing we have become rather famous for. Parades and events will be in full swing this weekend, so be sure to head out and get your fill of moonpie and king cake!

First up, the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce will hold their annual Mardi Gras Parade this Saturday, January 16 at 1PM. Line Santa Rosa Boulevard and get ready to yell “Hey, mister, toss me some beads!” as floats make their way toward Highway 98. If you live on the Emerald Coast and have parade fever, don’t miss the HarborWalk Village Mardi Gras Parade on February 6 at 2PM.

Do you rent a home in South Walton or Panama City Beach? In South Walton, head over to Seaside for their afternoon celebration which will include awesome live music at the amphitheater. Or, if you are a dog lover, visit the Village of Baytowne Wharf for their annual pooch parade. Watch as these four-legged friends, dressed in their best purple, green and gold, make their way throughout the village as you enjoy entertainment and performers. In Panama City Beach, be sure to visit Pier Park.

To truly do Mardi Gras up right, head west. Of course, if you rent a Pensacola home, or enjoy a home rental near Mobile, you’re in luck. This is where the area’s biggest and best parades take place. Be sure to scope out the Mobile Mardi Gras parade schedule. Or, in Pensacola, head downtown on Friday, February 5 in the evening for the illuminated parade and again on Saturday for the grand parade.

No matter where you celebrate, laissez les bon temps roulez!
