Do’s and Don’ts of Halloween Decor

halloween1Halloween is right around the corner, and if you just moved into a long term rental in Mobile, Alabama, it is a great time to get to know your neighbors. Speaking of Halloween, decorating your new home may be right up your alley, but our property managers want to remind you of just a few things:

(1) Kids scare easily. If you live in a neighborhood with young children, try to avoid the carnivorous animals and too-realistic skeletons. Choose family-friendly themes that don’t offend the neighbors.

(2) Be mindful with volume. We all know that “Monster Mash” is the theme song for Halloween, but that doesn’t mean we want to hear it on repeat throughout the night.

(3) The witching hour ends at midnight. Halloween officially ends at midnight. You don’t have to take decor down right then and there, but don’t let it linger through the winter holidays. Besides you’ll need to make room for Christmas lights!
