Pumpkin Dream Cake Recipe
Fall is officially here on the Gulf Coast and that means cool weather, all harvest decor and of course, pumpkin flavored things. Coffee, beer, the list goes on, but if you love pumpkin and the goodness of fall then there is no doubt about it, you will absolutely love this pumpkin dream cake recipe provided by our friend and former chef, John Sallman, Southern Vacation Rentals‘ newest Owner Relations Manager.
Click the image for the ingredients, once you have gathered those items it is just a matter of putting them together. First you will need to preheat the oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and grease 3, 8″ rounds. Next, combine the flour, salt and baking soda. Set that aside and combine the cream, butter and sugar until it is fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then the extract, pumpkin and oil. The flour and milk are to be added back and forth next until both are used. Then distribute the batter evenly between 3, 8″ rounds and bake for 35-40 minutes.
Immediately after the the rounds are finished baking, freeze them to stop the cooking process. For the icing, combine the cream cheese and butter, add the syrup, extract and cinnamon and then carefully add the sugar until the icing is smooth and creamy.
From that point on, it’s just a matter of icing the cake and enjoy a season full of pumpkin dream cake.
